We welcome your interest in applying for a UNCF/Mellon Archival Research Project Grant.

Program Description

UNCF/Mellon Archival Research Project

UNCF institutions have many rich resources, including our institutional histories and faculty, student and administrative contributions. The Archival Research Project fund provides support, not to exceed $5,000.00 per award, for UNCF faculty who wish to create archival projects focused on creating institution-based archival research or to work within the Archival holdings of UNCF institutions to support their teaching and scholarship.

ARCHIVAL RESEARCH PROJECT GRANT APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Please make sure the following items are submitted along with a completed application.

  • A detailed description of your archival research project, including which Archive(s) you will explore, a timeline for your collection of research, and an explanation of what you anticipate your final project will encompass.
  • An itemized budget estimating what you will need to complete the project.
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of Endorsement from Chief Academic Officer
  • Letter of Endorsement from Director of Archives
