2022 UNCF/MELLON DOMESTIC FACULTY SEMINAR
The 2022 UNCF/Mellon Domestic Faculty Seminar took place July 31-August 4, 2022 in Atlanta, GA. The theme of the 2022 Seminar, which was facilitated by Dr. Michael Gomez, Silver Professor of History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University, and Director of NYU’s Center for the Study of Africa and the African Diaspora (CSAAD) and his team of distinguished scholars was “Africans, Their Descendants, and Native Americans: History and Legacy.”

Faculty representing the Interdenominational Theological Center, Bennett College, Tougaloo College, Xavier University, Spelman College, Claflin University, Huston-Tillotson University, and Dillard University were selected as participants in this seminar. The theme of the 2017 Seminar, which was facilitated by Dr. Beverly Guy-Sheftall, Anna Julia Cooper Professor of Women’s Studies, Spelman College is “New Directions in Gender and Sexuality Studies.”
